What is a Visual Edge Slant Board?
The Visual Edge board is a specially built, adjustable slant board that minimizes eye strain by providing an optimally slanted surface on which to work. The angle of the Visual Edge board helps the user see and process printed and written text more easily. It differs from traditionally available reading slant boards in that it was designed to be lightweight, durable, transportable, multifunctional and affordable. Some of the features of the Visual Edge board include:
- A 22-degree angled board, as determined by scientific research to be the ideal position for enhancing reading and writing for optimal learning.
- A Dry Erase and Magnetic white board surface for accomplishing direct “on board” tasks.
- A paper clip at the top that holds work firmly to the board.
- A removable “book catch” at the bottom that allows for easy reading and unobstructed writing.
- Folding legs that lock in the extended position for stability, and then fold flat for compact storage. Folded, the board fits easily into a 2-inch wide space.
- Board Dimensions: 12 x 18 inches.

Notes on Care
- Do not use the paper clip at the top of the Slant Board as a carry handle. This will hyper extend the spring and break the clip.
- Ensure the Velcro strip is properly attached to the plastic book catch by pressing it firmly to the plastic book catch before using. This will ensure it remains attached when removing the catch from the Slant Board.
